[Film Screening] Friday, Nov. 7th from 7pm to 9pmthe First Unitarian Universalist Church Green Committee is hosting ascreening of the documentary, "Chasing Ice." This film chronicles the efforts of nature photographer, James Balog, and his Extreme Ice Survey to publicize the effects of climate change. [Habitat Talk] Saturday, Nov. 8th from 9:30am to 11am the National Wildlife Federation is hosting a free Habitat Talk workshop at the Discovery Hill Outdoor Learning Center about birdsin the winter garden. Instructor Ryan Fleming from Wildewoode Landscapes will be discussing beneficial species, plant selection and care, and gardening tips to support bird populations in winter gardens. Participants will learn what birds they should expect to see in their winter gardens, as well as how to keep them happy during the cold months. More info>>
