[Water Class] Saturday, June 20th at 11am the Clean Water Fund is offering a free class on all things water in Texas at TreeHouse on South Lamar. The class will cover Texas' many water challenges and present ideas for homeowners to reduce their own personal water use. Austin's current water resource planning efforts will also be discussed.More info>>


The Austin Parks Foundation is hosting an Adopt-A-Park Summit on Saturday.[Park Summit] Saturday, June 20th from 12:30pm to 4pm the Austin Parks Foundation and the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department are hosting the Adopt-A-Park Summit at the George Washington Carver Museum. The summit is designed to give Adopt-A-Park groups from across the city the opportunity to come together to share best practices, attend educational workshops, and learn how to work most effectively to improve and maintain the city's parks. Advance registration is requested. More info>>
 


The Sierra Club is leading a hike through the river on Sunday.

 

[Hike] Sunday, June 21st from 10am to 2pm the Sierra Club is leading a hike at Roy G. Guerrero Park. The three mile hike will explore the interplay of the city growth in the area and the impact it has on the Colorado river. Part of the hike will be in the river itself, so hikers should be prepared to get wet. More info>>
 


[Energy Talk] Sunday, June 21st from noon to 1pm Alyssa Burgin of the Texas Drought Project is giving a talk on fracking in the Eagle Ford Shale. She will discuss the economics of shale drilling, the potential for the downturn to become yet another bust, and the consequences for roads, residents and infrastructure. Tuesday, June 23rd from 6pm to 8:30pm MobilityATXis hosting a town hall discussion about Austin's transportation problems.Mayor Steve Adler, along with representatives from Capital Metro, RideScout, Silicon Labs, and the Downtown Austin Alliance will all be speaking. Tickets for the event are already sold out, but ATXN will be live streaming the whole thing, so there is still a chance for everyone to watch. More info>>
 


You can take a B-cycle to Blues on the Green![Concert] Wednesday, June 24th from 5:30pm to 10:30pm Austin B-cycle is hosting a bike valet atKGSR's Blues on the Greenat Zilker Park.
