Public Pools and Splash Pads

The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department will host a series of public meetings to solicit opinions about Austin’s public pools and splash pads.
These meetings are part of an Aquatic Assessment which will help determine the needs and priorities for Austin’s aquatics facilities and programs based on the public’s feedback and an independent consultant’s evaluation of facility infrastructure.
All of the meetings are open to the entire Austin community and will be held at the following times and locations:

Northwest Austin Meeting and Open House
Aug. 19, 2013 – Anderson High School Cafeteria

Southwest Austin Meeting and Open House

In addition to the public meetings, the Austin Parks and Recreation Department will be facilitating a phone survey and an on-line survey through the City’s SpeakUpAustin.org, as well as distributing the survey to aquatic facility patrons in order to allow a chance for everyone to be heard.
