Veggies & Fruit

Artichokes! Strawberries! Barton Creek Farmers Market has young artichokes from Two Happy Children Farm – if an artichoke is young enough, even the stem is soft and delicious when cooked. Winfield Farms is also bringing their outstanding romaine lettuce, fresh sprouts, jellies and jam – with artichokes coming soon! Fruitful Hill is bringing spring strawberries! There is an abundance of lettuces, broccoi, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, greens of ALL kinds, dill, cilantro, parsley, fennel,, sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, even citrus from the valley.

Fish:

Celtic Seafare smoked salmon will be at Barton Creek Farmers Market this week bringing salmon from British Columbia.  K&S Seafood is bringing their abundance of gulf seafood.

Milk & Meat:

Full Quiver Farms is now providing low temperature pasteurized, non-homogenized milk at Barton Creek Farmers Market.  You’ll also find a wide variety of grass fed, grass finished, pasture-raised meats available at the markets from a variety of vendors.

Bread:

Have you tried New Bread Rising’s latest new bread?  It’s a Pumpernickel Bread with raisins and sunflower seeds and it’s spectacular!  You are missing a real treat if you haven’t tried his Poblano with Toasted Polenta Bread or his Red Pepper Olive Bread.   Neil’s bread is a true baking art.
