Volunteers Needed for Renewable Energy Markets Conference

The Renewable Energy Markets conference is going to be held in Austin at the Downtown Hilton from September 22–24. Over 400 renewable energy leaders are expected at this year's conference, which promises to be the largest REM yet.

If you are wanting to rub elbows with these professionals and would like a way to earn your attendance then sign up  to be a volunteer! They need at least 5 volunteers each day.  Volunteers who commit to ½ a day, can attend the conference for the other ½ of their day for free.  Most volunteers are also able to sit in on sessions and can choose which ones interest them!

Here is a list of the tasks they need covered.

Moderators:

  • Make sure signage is up and correct
  • Putting out tent cards
  • Timekeeping (holding up time cards to alert speakers of time left)
  • Walking around and holding microphone for Q&A portion of sessions

Conference Assistants:

  • Ringing of lunch/break chimes
  • Putting agendas on lunch chairs
  • Help guide participants to sessions
  • Assisting award winners/ VIPS with photos, finding reserved seats
  • Assist VIPs, sponsors, speakers locate where they need to be
  • Assist with other duties as needed

Photographer:

  • Take candid and staged photos of award winners at awards luncheon

All volunteers will receive on-site orientation along with training specific to your duties and Event Coordinators will be available to answer any volunteer questions during the conference

Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 4 hours and are needed during these windows:

  • Sunday, September 22nd3:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Monday, September 23rd:   8:00am – 5:30pm
  • Tuesday, September 24th8:00am – 5:00pm
