Awakening the Dreamer Symposium
Come to the Awakening the Dreamer/Changing the Dream symposium and become part of creating a future that works for everybody! Our lives are about much more than merely fixing problems: by changing the Dream of separateness that has evolved in the modern world and recognizing our interconnectedness, a future becomes possible that would include environmental sustainability, social justice, and spiritual fulfillment as the guiding principles for our entire planet. When we look around, there is already a huge expression of a New Dream emerging, a civil society "grassroots movement" -- evident in the multitude of social activists rallies, NGO's, non-profit organizations, spiritual inter-faith gatherings, etc., as though the Earth's immune system is being called into action!
What is there to do? Engage with others about these issues and this message, and continually look for and discover what is your unique role. How can we do this? By considering together: Where are we? How did we get here? What's possible for the future? and Where do we go from here?
The Awakening the Dreamer symposium serves as a rallying point for this growing community. Paul Hawken publicly states that the ATD-CTD symposium is the most important movement on the planet! Through experiential segments in video modules, group conversations, breakout sessions, guided visualizations, and individual journaling a door will open to the unique role you are meant to play. You will hear from leading scientists, artists, spiritual luminaries, and social activists such as Matthew Fox, Thomas Berry, Julia Butterfly Hill, The Dalai Lama, Drew Dillinger and a host of others. Our intention is that you leave the symposium in a state of"Blessed Unrest," and that you have a commitment to remaining in that state, standing powerfully in a place of possibility, creativity, community, and action!
There are now over two thousand five hundred trained ATD facilitators presenting Awakening the Dreamer/Changing the Dream around the world, and the symposium is being given in eight different languages.
