Copenhagen Countdown: Sisters on the Planet Film Screening
On December 7, the United Nations Climate Conference will convene in Copenhagen, Denmark to draft a NEW GLOBAL CLIMATE TREATY.
Currently, poor people are hit first – and worst – by natural disasters and climate change. People are fighting back by deploying early warning systems, planting better crops, storing grain, building shelters, and replanting trees. But they need our help.
We need your help on this urgent issue – we need to make sure the U.S. stands up for poor communities in Copenhagen!
In order to send a final message to President Obama and key U.S. officials that we are ready for a global climate deal that is FAIR, AMBITIOUS, and BINDING, Oxfam UT is sponsoring a week of CLIMATE CHANGE ACTION in December.
Thursday, December 3, 6:30pm, Spider House Cafe
Join us at Spider House Café tonight for a screening of Oxfam’s film Sisters on the Planet! See how four inspirational women are fighting back against climate change – and learn how you can help.
