It's the first day of the last month of 2009!

Tonight is one of your first opportunities to get involved with the Copenhagen Countdown:

Phonebank for the Climate!
On December 1, at 7pm, join OxfamUT and the Texas Sierra Club to phone bank for the climate! We’ll be calling Sierra Club members in other states asking them to call their Senators and tell them to vote for President Obama's Climate Bill. We'll be using headsets and Skype – so we ask that you bring your laptops!

Oxfam UT Bike Ride
Reduce your carbon footprint when you join OxfamUT for a bike ride to the farmer’s market in the Triangle to buy locally grown, organic food. Meet us in the West Mall at 5pm, on December 3, and be sure to bring your solutions-based signs; we want to know, how are you reducing your impact? While you’re at it, sign a petition encouraging Obama to take strong action in Copenhagen!

The tail end of this week and all of next week is Eat Local Week!

The 1st Event of Eat Local Week - The Local Food Potluck at the Barr Mansion on Thursday, Dec, 3rd from 6:30 - 10:30 PM - Bring a Smile, a dish for 6-8 with Local Food ingredients, and a beverage of choice. (there's time to get your Local Food at the Wednesday's Triangle Farmers Market. Come and Celebrate with Citizen Gardener and Permaculture Design Grads and Slow-Food-Austin.
