What: Kickoff of First Texas Native Plant Week and
Recognition for Wildlife Habitat at City of Austin Parks and Recreation

Why: To launch a week that promotes native plants and raises public awareness of their value and beauty. The news conference will include a tour of a demonstration habitat garden, which will be recognized as a “Best of Texas” wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
