Small Business @ Work (SB@W) Self-Employment Opportunity Summit
Many members of the Austin EcoNetwork community are self-employed. Our commitment to help folks start and operate green businesses is strong and steadfast- we recommend this summit as a great resource and a good place to start:
Austin was largely buffered in our latest economic hiccup here in the US, but there were still people in our area affected. Small Business @ Work (SB@W) is a summit designed to support and build a larger locally owned place of commerce here in Central Texas.
On October 1st, 2009, BiGAUSTIN is proud to announce it will be hosting the first SB@W Self-Employment Opportunity Summit. The focus of SB@W’s summit is to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit within and foster growth of existing small businesses in the Central Texas region. Designed as the one-stop-shop for everything small business you will be able to meet with lenders, connect with suppliers, network with other small businesses, learn about franchise opportunities, and locate small business development resources to walk along side you on your path of self-employment and business ownership.
The event includes 5 tracks where seminars related to entrepreneurship will be presented. Austin EcoNetwork's very own, Brandi Clark will be assisting facilitation of a seminar under Small Business in a Green Industry track. The session proposed for you is titled “How to incorporate environmental values that align with your business”. This seminar starts at 1pm.
