Town Lake Animal Shelter Volunteer Opp

Are you interested in helping the homeless animals of Austin? The Town 
Lake Animal Center is recruiting volunteers to help care for the physical and 
social needs of animals while they are at the shelter and to help 
customers so that sheltered animals can find great, forever homes.

Volunteers at the shelter do things like:
* Help cats and dogs adjust to and feel less scared about being at 
the shelter 
* Keep the kennels clean and safe 
* Feed and freshen water 
* Help customers find a pet that matches their household needs 
* Move animals within the shelter when needed 
* Keep staff aware of health or behavior issues
The jobs aren't always glamorous and they are often dirty but the reward 
of helping a long-stay cat or dog get a home of their own makes a real 
difference to the animal and the community and you will know you were a part of that.
