Zilker Tree Rescue - Volunteer Mulching Workday
We need to mulch over 500 trees at Zilker Park in the Polo Fields Area and we need your help. The Parks department will supply mulch, the Austin Parks Foundation will supply tools, but we need volunteers on Sat, August 28 from 9 am to noon. Please wear closed toed shoes, bring a hat and a water bottle. If you have a wheelbarrow, please bring it as well.
We're meeting at the middle parking lot adajcent to the Polo Grounds and Rock Garden picnic areas. One you enter the road leading to the pool, hillside theatre and picnic areas, you'll mostly likely be routed in a loop down by the pool, then back up the hill to the road with the parking areas. Turn left and then take your first right into the parking lot (has yellow colored parking signs) that also allows parking on the field.
