The inaugural Michael & Susan Dell Foundation Be Well Walk will take place on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Longhorn Shores. 2,500 participants and 15 local non-profit partner organizations will be on hand to:
- Raise awareness about local organizations that are working to combat the childhood obesity epidemic in our country;
- Raise funds to benefit these organizations through the event;
- Demonstrate local opportunities/environment for exercise and activity – encouraging people to be more active with family and friends to “Train for Life”; and
- Demonstrate healthy/nutritious snacks – encouraging people to make better choices to “Fuel their Performance”.
