Public Art Bike Tour & Salon

In partnership with Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop and in celebration of Austin Bike Month, the Art in Public Places Program will host a public art bike tour through downtown Austin on Saturday, May 19, 10:00 a.m. - noon. The tour will begin at Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop and end at Open Room Austin, a public artwork in Sand Beach Park near the Pfluger Bridge.
Upon reaching Open Room Austin, AIPP staff will host a discussion salon featuring artists who have been commissioned by the AIPP Program. Participants can choose to do both the tour & salon, take the bike tour only, or just meet us at Sand Beach Park for the salon.
Participants will need to provide their own bike and helmet. Rentals are available at Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop.
