Visit Pedernales State Park in the dead of winter to bird the excellent blinds for wintering sparrows which in the past have included White Throated, White Crowned, Field, Fox, Savannah and others. Take a short walk to the falls to try to find Canyon Wrens and Rufous-Crowned Sparrows. Other park possibilities include Scrub Jays, American Robins, Golden Crowned Kinglets and perhaps Roadrunners. After birding we may choose to have lunch at a restaurant in Dripping Springs or we may have a picnic. We will meet at a south Austin location for carpooling. Limited to 12 participants. Contact Terry Banks at 55bluebirds@att.net to register.
