Come create and maintain a thriving frontyard food forest and explore new possibilities for community gardening with Urban Patchwork Neighborhood Farms! Urban Patchwork is a nonprofit urban farm incubator that teaches neighbors to grow food together and helps them set up network to share that food. At our work day you'll learn Permaculture, Fukuoku, Ruth Stout, Biodynamic/Bionintensive and many other sustainable methods to plant, weed, harvest irrigate and design a thriving foodyard. Every other Friday is harvest day on the farm, so bring a bag to take home veggies!! We welcome folks of any experience level, ages 12-99. Our work days last four hours, from 8:30-12:30 so please bring sun protection and water.
